Data Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Process large volume of confidential data and information according to provided guidelines.
• Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
• Identify pattern in the dataset, use statistical methods to analyze the data and  generate the reports.
• Collect raw data from different sources and process and analyse to make them useful for business using data analysis tools.
• Develop the means and extract data from databases and transform and analyze it using best practice statistical methods
• Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide process improvement solutions.
• Collaborate with a multi-faceted team involving Quality Assurance, Developers, Business Analysts and Project Managers.
• Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analyst if necessary.

Qualification and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, BS in Mathematics or Economics with competent knowledge of SQL is an absolute necessity.
• Programming languages, such as SQL, Oracle and Python.
• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
• Ability to analyse, model and interpret data.
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
• Must be expert in using MS Excel spreadsheets and its data manipulation features.
• Strong abilities in mathematics and analysis.
• Ability to quickly learn new skills and pass required online certifications.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal and Teamworking skills.
• Work experience as a data analyst or in related field.
• Knowledge of ETL tool such as SSIS is a plus.
