NDRC

National Disaster Risk Reduction Centre (NDRC Nepal) works closely on disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA), natural resource management, and contemporary socio-economic issues. The major modes of work of the NDRC are research, evaluation, project implementation, and knowledge management. It has altogether reached 69 out of 77 districts in Nepal through various different development initiatives in terms of both research works, consultancy services as well as project implementation. NDRC has a pool of experienced human resources with expertise in the fields of DRR, CCA, good governance, rights-based approach, and advocacy works with governments, bilateral, UN agencies, non-government, and civil society institutions. NDRC Nepal had worked in a number of countries in the South Asia region including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. It has well-established networks with government line agencies and strong partnerships with national and regional organizations and development agencies. NDRC deploys DRR information and systems to reduce local, national and regional risk across South Asia. Its portfolio focuses on DRM capacity building, improving DRM for cities and climate change, mainstreaming DRM into national and local development, improving DRM systems, and undertaking disaster risk assessments.

Expression of Interest for Supplying Community Search and Rescue Materials

PRAGATI is urban Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) project being implemented in Shankharapur and Changunarayan Municipality. The project is being implemented in consortium led by DCA with Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) through National Disaster Risk Reduction Centre (NDRC Nepal) and Friends Service Council Nepal (FSCN Nepal). This is a project with funding support from European Union through its Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid department. 

The PRAGATI project invites Expression of Interest for Supplying Community Search and Rescue Materials in Shankharapur municipality. The detail of materials can be obtained after submission of the inquiry email to tender.ndrc@gmail.com with subject line “Inquiry for Supply of Community Search and Rescue Materials”.

Interested companies, who have previous appropriate experience, should apply by submitting their Expression of Interest (EoI) with financial proposal along with brief technical description of each item, reference (highest value within past 3 years) of similar supplies, and latest date to deliver the materials. The documents along with company profile, VAT registration and tax clearance certificate should be submitted to address below with subject line “Community Search and Rescue Materials”.
