Clean Energy Nepal is an independent and nonprofit organization established in 2000. CEN conducts research based education and advocacy campaigns, public policy recommendations and pilot implementation programs on issues related to sustainable energy use and environmental conservation. CEN works in three thematic areas: i) Clean Air ii) Energy and Climate Change and iii) Water and Sanitation

Details / requirements:

Clean Energy Nepal (CEN), a non-profit organization is seeking qualified and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions for the upcoming program:Nepal Early RecoveryResponse in Sindhupalchowk.

POSITION: COMMUNITY MOBILIZER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct awareness raising classes/ trainings to the community ensuring participation of women, marginalized and disabled.
  • Support project team by rapport building with community and local stakeholders to conduct meetings and create environment for meaningful participation.
  • Facilitate in community to select and mobilize volunteers, training participants, task groups,etc. based on the set criteria.
  • Monitor project activities based on plan and checklist and prepare monthly progress report.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Intermediate level passed in any faculty with 1 year of relevant working experience and sound understanding of community mobilization
  • Excellent coordination, communication and networking skills.
  • Good written and spoken Nepali, English and Local languages.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Report writing, data/information collection and documentation skills.
  • Sensitive of integrating gender and diversity issues into humanitarian and development programme
  • Priority will be given to local residence of project area

TERMS AND LOCATION:

9 months and will be based in Sindhupalchowk.
