Community Coordinator

FutureSense

Details / requirements:

OVERVIEW

FutureSense supports local communities and organizations in developing countries, through a range of ethical volunteering programs. Focusing on Education, Child Welfare, Healthcare, and Livelihoods, each country builds programs that are based around the needs of the communities we work with. Through these programs we offer opportunities for individuals and groups to travel overseas and do something worthwhile, while working to forward our organizational objectives and ensure more sustainable living for our communities. Our volunteer opportunities include a gap year program (GapGuru), a program for serious volunteers and those on a career break (Inspire) and programs for groups (Challenges Abroad).

FutureSense currently has programs operating across 7 countries and supporting over 100 local community based partners and NGO projects. Most of our volunteers work alongside local teachers in schools or work with local NGOs involved with community development and in child or health care.

We are looking for a Community Coordinator to join our team working alongside our partners to continue providing long-term program delivery to uplift the communities we work with. The Community Coordinator is someone who takes initiative in their role, always looking for ways to strengthen our existing partnerships and projects, while also seeking to build new connections and relationships. The Community Coordinator is not afraid of asking questions, seeking answers, and putting themselves out into the community as a representative of the work we do. The Community Coordinator will work as an important part of the full in-country team as we all focus on our organizational goals and increase community impact.
