Communication Officer

Scope of work

• Ensure accuracy and consistency on communication by field team and communication team with study population and participants
• Develop a FAQ document for field staff and research participants.
• Maintain effective communication between the coordinating centre and field staff/s.
• Lead a team of Communication Assistants ensuring effective communication with vaccination population.    
• Maintain a liaison between study clinics and the study cohort population ensuring all data is captured efficiently.
• Visit and support fieldwork.
• Assist in pilot study, help plan and carry out the subsequent study.
• Support public engagement activities
• Support in establishing procedures for identifying problems and inconsistencies in field center communication, field activities and resolving the problems.
• Supportive supervision to communication assistant/s
• Other additional duties as the research project evolve

Qualification and Experiences 

• Bachelor in Public Health, Health Sciences, nursing, Mass  communication/ journalism or relevant discipline
• Minimum 1 year experience working in engaging with communities, preferably in health related projects
