The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is the global humanitarian organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Through an international network, ADRA delivers relief and development assistance to individuals in 130 countries—regardless of their ethnicity, political affiliation, or religious association. ADRA in Nepal works in livelihood, health, education and disaster risk management sectors. Currently, ADRA Nepal has been implementing its programs in 21 districts of the country.

Details / requirements:

ADRA Nepal works with people in poverty and distress to create a just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. It invites applications for the following positions for an upcoming project, subject to funding.

1) Cluster Coordinator-One

Competencies: Bachelor degree in Agriculture/Animal Science/ Master degree will be preferred; at least 5 years of experience in managing agriculture, livestock or rural development projects;  experiences in working with INGOs/NGOs in consortium environment will be preferred; Good coordination and capacity building skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact and draw valid conclusions; able to cope with diverse work climate and work pressure; able to handle project independently with minimum supervision; ability to plan and prioritize work; fluency in written and spoken English; good report writing skill; computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheets.  

Location: Based in Rautahat with frequent field visit to project sites in Bara and Rautahat districts.

2) Gender and Social Inclusion Officer- One

Competencies: Bachelor degree in Social Science, Rural Development, Gender Studies, Development Studies or equivalent; at least 3 years experiences in similar positions; experience as GESI Officer in agriculture and livestock projects will be highly preferred; field experiences and willing to travel field frequently; able to cope with diverse work climate and work pressure; skill to analyze and interpret reports; willing to work both within a team and independently; good communication skills with fluency (written and spoken) in both Nepali and English language.

Location: Based in Rautahat with frequent field visit to project sites of Bara and Rautahat.

3) Monitoring and Evaluation Officer- One

Competencies:  Bachelor degree in Sociology/Statistics/Development studies or equivalent; at least 3 years of professional experience in monitoring and Evaluation of projects; knowledge on agriculture and livestock sector; able to read, ability to analyze and interpret statistical reports; ability to define problems, design specific studies, collect data, analyse data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; advance computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation; ability to handle database management software (MS-Access) and data analysis software (such as SPSS) would be highly desirable; able to write articles for publications conforming to prescribed style and format; willing to work both within a team and independently; good communication skills with fluency (written and spoken) in both Nepali and English.

Location: Based in Kathmandu with frequent visit to project site as required.

4) Finance and Administration Assistant- One

Competencies: Intermediate level in business management, Bachelor degree will be preferred; 2 years or more working experience in finance and administration development sector; familiar with accounting software; good organizing skills; high level of integrity; understanding of Nepal Government tax rules; computer knowledge (Word and Excel)

Location: Based in  Butwal with frequent visit to the project districts: Kapilvastu, Rupandehi and Palpa
