Civil Engineer/Project Officer

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Civil Engineer/Project officer for construction and rebuilding project. Applicants with previous experience in managing construction programs or having worked with NGO or iNGO background will be favoured. These are some of the responsibilities he/she will be taking on:
- Site visit/ assessmentSupervise construction projects as may be necessary.
- Responsible to ensure effective quality control systems are in place and contractor and engineering consultancy companies work in compliance with technical specifications and ABARI quality standards.
- Ensure all technical inputs and cost estimates related to the construction components are accurate, timely provided and included in the project proposals and budget.
- Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources
- Manage project budgets, cash flow and obligations to ensure that deliverables are met and payments to contractors and personnel are received on time.
- General monitoring of the project including adherence to reporting requirements to office standards.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to senior officials on developments and progress within the project;
- Assist the Head of Programmes in other duties as assigned.
Applicant should be a Citizen of Nepal.
The minimum period for the contract is 1 year.
The chosen applicant will be under probation for a period of three months and will only then be remunerated as per previously agreed salary.
