Devlaya is a new fine dine restaurant, located in the heart of Lalitpur- Jhamsikhel. We aim to provide a whole new experience of dinning while serving the best food with an extraordinary taste to our customers.
Details / requirements:
Our new restaurant is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Chef who is passionate about culinary arts. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural leader who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. The Chef will be responsible for assigning work in the kitchen, preparing meals for our diners, training staff, kitchen inventory management and partnering with the Sous Chef to come up with delectable new dishes to add to our growing menu. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Follow the budget established by the restaurant manager

Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen

Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion

Maintain the schedule for kitchen staff

Monitor food and labor costs

Keep up with industry trends and create new recipes in collaboration with the Sous Chef
Skills & Requirements

Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook (minimum 3 years)

Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)

Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques

Leadership skills
-
Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks

Excellent time management abilities

Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

Familiarity with sanitation regulations
-
Bachelor’s degree required (Culinary school-preferred)
