Behavior Change Communication (BCC) Coordinators

The behavior change communication coordinator is a central level position that also requires field visits. The candidate must have a masters degree in communication, or relevant discipline with more than four years experience or bachelors degree in a relevant field with more than six years experience in implementing Behavior Change communication campaigns / programs. The applicant should have excellent communication skills and should be responsible for coordinating key communications functions for programs and campaigns, working closely with the program team to develop and execute community based BCC strategies and activities. The applicant must be able to demonstrate experience in implementing various community based bcc activities. The applicant must have proven experience in providing technical and managerial support for IEC/BCC for health related programs and campaigns.

Specific Skills Required for this position:

ü  Well versed in the accepted concepts of BCC

ü  Experienced in developing BCC strategies

ü  Experienced in implementing community based BCC campaigns

ü  Well versed in the use of mass media in BCC

ü Ability to facilitate BCC workshops, BCC strategy dissemination meetings, BCC training workshops.

ü  Able to coordinate with various stakeholders of a BCC campaign

ü  Experienced in implementing community based BCC activities and events

ü  Experienced in the use of BCC tools and materials

ü  Ability to support the design of BCC material pre-testing tools and materials

ü  Ability to support the design of formative studies related to BCC materials

ü  Experienced in working with creative agencies in developing tools and materials for BCC

ü  Must be able to lead BCC teams in implementing BCC campaigns

ü  Must possess a positive personality that demonstrates an ability to lead teams effectively and efficiently with clear vision and direction.
