National association of community electricity users-Nepal (NACEUN) is a non-profit organization working for the development of sustainable community rural electrification, promotion and development of energy access in Nepal. Organized in the form of a national network, NACEUN has over 249 rural electric entities (organization) as member across 49 districts in Nepal. NACEUN works for sustainable community rural electrification through capacity building of members, promoting productive use of electricity and advocating for consumer friendly policies and programs.

NACEUN invites application from qualified and experienced Nepali women for the following post:

Position: Advocacy and Policy Officer - 1 (Female)

Duty Station: Based in Kathmandu with timely field visit to project sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement activities related to policy issues
• Regular reporting of the activities to higher authorities (in both English and Nepali language)

Qualifications & Competencies:

The applicant should have Masters Degree in law, management, public policy, natural resource management, economics, rural development, development study and/or electrical engineering.

OR, should have at least 3 years' of work experience in policy and development sector with Bachelore Degree.

The following additional competency is also required.

• Strong ability on report writing and documentation both in English and Nepali
• Capable for program management and  stakeholder coordination 
• Experience in working with NGOs and networks of development agencies
• Fluency in English and Nepali, both written and oral
• Proficiency in using office application software 

Duration: Initially 6 months, with possibility of extension
