CRS Nepal

CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting diseases, poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS started its operational presence in Nepal in response to the 2015 earthquake, providing immediate emergency response in multiple districts and earthquake recovery support. CRS Nepal has been coordinating the reconstruction through the leadership of the National Housing and Settlements Resiliency Platform (NHSRP), formally known as Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) since March 2017 to provide technical and information management support to relevant national, provincial and local governments. Similarly, CRS expanded its programming to other disasters responses (Lamjung, Jajarkot) in country as well as other sectors, namely Livelihoods, DRR and Climate Change. CRS Nepal is also implementing a USAID-financed livelihood technical assistance program, Farmer to Farmer (F2F), in Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Details / requirements:

CRS was founded in 1943 in the USA, and works in over 100 countries to help the poor and disadvantaged. In Nepal CRS has a long-term commitment to provide high quality assistance to help vulnerable groups recover from the earthquakes of 2015, to develop their livelihoods and to rebuild safer homes. 

Applicants for the positions listed below must be Nepalese citizens with excellent written and spoken English and Nepali. A detailed job description for each position can be obtained from the CRS Human Resources Office at HRNepal@crs.org. 

Administrative Assistant (Kathmandu): Provide consistent and high-quality service in the day-to-day delivery of responsive, effective and efficient administrative activities. High School diploma or equivalent required, College Degree or business school is an advantage. Minimum 2 years experience working in an administrative role. Experience with a local or international NGO a plus. Experience with typing/word processing and working with various office equipment is a must. Proficiency in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
