Urban Environment Management Society (UEMS), a non government organization established in 2002, is dedicated to people-centered urban development and striving to contribute for better living environment through efforts for sustainable development. UEMS supports urban and sub urbs population, especially marginalized communities through its work in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), Solid Waste Management, Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction, Alternative Energy, Food Security and Sustainable Livelihoods.

Urban Environment Management Society (UEMS) is a non-profit making civil society organization established in 2002. UEMS support urban population, especially poor and socially marginalized through Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change Adaptation, Solid Waste Management, Food Security & Sustainable Livelihood and Alternative Energy Projects. UEMS invites application from eligible candidates for the implementation of WASH Project in Lahan municipality of Siraha district .

POSITION TITLE: ADMIN/FINANCE ASSISTANT

REQUIRED NO. OF STAFF: ONE

DURATION: 1 year with possible extension

DUTY STATION: Based at Lahan Municipality of Siraha district

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare vouchers and make payment against approved vouchers at the field office
  • Maintain all the books of accounts (vouchers, ledgers, stock book, trail balance, bank reconciliation statements etc) at the field office
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to central office and other related organization
  • Make fund request to central office based on plan of actions
  • Carry out administrative work at the field office including maintaining personal records of field staff, facilitate external audit and donor monitoring visits
  • Support in procuring the required materials for the field program as per organizational guidelines and policy
  • Maintain office equipments, fixed asset register and risk register at field office
  • Support team leader to prepared plan and budgets

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience in admin and finance role or intermediate (10+2) level passed with 2 years of experience in similar position
  • Good knowledge on tax rules and policies of Nepal
  • Familiar with NGO finance and accounting system
  • Experience of maintaining books of accounts and performing administrative duties
  • Good computer skills especially Word and Excel
  • Familiar with child right and child protection issues & policy
  • Good written and verbal communication skill in English and Nepali
