Social Awareness & Development Association Nepal (SADA-Nepal) Baitadi is a civil society organization, started with a motto of "working together for a just society", and derived from socio-economic progressive movement. The organization is registered with the Government of Nepal (GoN) in August 1996. It was formed by a group of volunteers involved in various segments of professions and walks of life. SADA has adopted  organizational & cultural values (viz. justice, peace, harmony and equity) while implementing programs & providing services to marginalized people. Founded on the basis of egalitarian ideology, it pertains to alleviate human suffering, assist during crisis & act for holistic development of vulnerable people. Basic concepts of self-sustained and participatory development practices are leading values for the organizational strategic plan. Good governance, transparency & accountability are core values practiced by the organization throughout the programs & organizational practices. It has been working to improve the livelihood of people through improved agricultural practices, natural resource management, health wash & sanitation, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), and education.

SADA Nepal is implementing USAID funded Programme"Promoting Agriculture Health & Alternative Livelihood (PAHAL) in Baitadi district. The programme seek to willingness candidate for the following position.

Admin & Finance Assistant (AFA)-1 (One)

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES

  • Intermediate in Commerce  (Preferably Bachelor degree in relevant subject) 
  • Preferred to the candidates having minimum Two years of working experience.
  • Preferred to the candidates having knowledge to use FAMAS financial Software.  
  • Excellent financial report writing skills in English and Nepali. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

To ensure functional, effective & efficient accounting & financial system and support to finance officer for timely preparation and submission of reports to donor. This position holder will be working closely with organization’s Finance and Program Team to run the smooth operations of accounting & logistic management.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support to prepare vouchers; ensure proper budget coding, cheque writing and submission for approval
  • Timely payments of vendor’s bills and settlement of advance, liabilities and receivables etc and reconcile periodically.
  • Support to annual remuneration tax assessment, monthly pay roll, retirement fund and TDS management.  Work closely with Finance & Admin coordinator for this job.
  • Support to ensure the financial management system is in accordance with Donor’s & HO guidelines, International & National Accounting Standards.
  • Data entry into the accounting software and generate reports as required.
  • Support to produce / compile financial report as required.
  • Monitor petty cash
  • Manage all bank transactions
  • Support to preparation for internal, external and project audit.
  • Day to day support to project on financial & logistic management.
  • Support to prepare statement of VAT receivable and process for VAT refund
