Digital Broadcast Initiative Equal Access (DBI EA) is a nonprofit, non-government organization established in February 2004 in Nepal with a goal to create positive change by providing critical information using Communication for Development (C4D) approaches. DBI EA aims to accomplish this goal by using the media, state of the art information and communication technology (ICT), effective partnerships and local community engagement. Since its inception in 2004, DBI-EA has implemented projects on an array of thematic areas including media development, health, agriculture and livelihood, human rights and transitional justice, good governance, primary education and early childhood development, gender issues, adolescent issues, and local development among others. DBI-EA creates customized communication and outreach solutions to address the critical issues across Nepal. This is accomplished through close partnerships with community radios and local media, which ensures greater local ownership, impact and sustainability. The communication component includes designing, producing compelling multilingual audio and multimedia content and broadcasting through national and local FM networks. Outreach activities include a wide range of activities like training, orientation, local partnerships, local content, Radio Discussion Groups (RDGs), public hearing, discussion forum, and edutainment fair. All activities are guided by DBI EA’s experiences in Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC).

Details / requirements:

Equal Access is seeking application from dynamic and competent candidate for Admin and Finance Associate position: 

  • Assist in office administration, general letter correspondence; deliver and pick up of documents
  • Assist in official book keeping procedure and vouching 
  • Handling taxation procedure as per government rules and regulation
  • Payment of official bills in time like (Telephone, Electricity, Mobile,etc)
  • Cheque collection, cash deposits and other regular transaction with bank.
  • Tax and CIT deposits of staffs and consultants to concerned authority
  • Assist in documentation of staff records including contracts, attendance, leave, trainings; 
  • Assists in procurement and its documentation
  • Identify and coordinate with vendors and suppliers of office suppliers, stationery and other required materials and maintain a document of same.
  • Managing contract administration and office files.
  • Coordinate with vehicle service providers as and when required
  • Arranging for and managing annual audit processes in compliance with Nepalese legal requirement.

The Admin and Finance Associate shall have the following profile:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce or management with specific experience related to finance and administration with development organizations. 
  • Knowledge on taxation and procurement procedure.
  • Experience of at least 3 years in the same field.
  • Good command over written and verbal Nepali and English; good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skill.
  • Past experience of working in development institution preferred; 
  • Valid driving license holder will be given priority 
  • Sound knowledge of using computer including email/internet application 
  • Able to work in off hours and willingness to travel in official trip
