WASH Manager

Minimum qualification: Masters in Science, Engineering and Management.

Expected background: minimum 4 years of post-degree experience in integrated WASH activities,  promotion, team management and leadership experience, project proposal writing, co-ordination, reporting, publications, communication and scientific presentations; good donor relationship, fund raising; good publication record.

Job description:

• In co-ordination with the Outreach Director, provide overall leadership to the WASH Functional Unit of the Outreach Division and its staff.
• Develop strategic plans in consultation with the Outreach Director for operating and expanding the services of the WASH Functional Unit.
• Plan, analyze and engage in knowledge generation and consolidation as per the objective of the respective Functional Unit.
• Strategic management of the WASH Functional Unit, supervision and co-ordination between WASH projects, building synergy and collaboration with other projects.
• Thematically engage in respective Functional Unit related acquisition process along with maintaining relation with existing and potential donors and collaborators
• Ensure high technical quality with the updated approaches/technologies in the unit areas and provide strategic direction for the implementation of cross cutting issues.
• Ensure and support implementation of ENPHO policies and regulations.
• Actively write and encourage Division staff to publish articles in journals and general media.
• Attend coordination meetings with relevant stakeholders and partners, collection of feedback, identify potential issues and solutions.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, media and the public to maintain cordial relationship with all concerned for effective planning and implementation of Unit projects and activities.
• Provide guidance and conduct overall supervision and motivation of community based WASH project staff.
• Provide necessary input to maintain regular documentation reporting of technical, administrative and financial activities of projects under the WASH Functional Unit.
