CIUD announces vacancies for some posts for the Shelter and WASH projects.

Position: WASH Engineer/ Field Coordinator (Civil Engineer)

Station: Chaurideurali Rural Municipality, Kavre

Duration: 2 years

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Overall coordination of the WASH project including local coordination and Overall human resources management 
  • Provide necessary guidance and support to the field staffs and monitor their works
  • Develop technically sound innovative methods to make the projects effective and sustainable
  • Plan, design, estimation of WASH structures. Surveying of water and sanitation schemes; prepare detail design and cost estimation of the schemes 
  • Support in development of WASH plan
  • Conduct training on WASH resilience and DRR, Water Safety Plan, Pre and Post Construction Training, Total Sanitation and other WASH related trainings.
  • Documentation of the projects and Periodic reporting

Additional Skills/ Knowledge

  • Excellent writing and communication skills in Nepali and English
  • Practical knowledge on AutoCAD and SAP
  • Knowledge on GIS
  • Project Planning and Management
  • Knowledge on government’s WASH plan, policies and strategies

Experience:

  • Minimum three years of experience on WASH with the field level experience on water supply schemes and sanitation
