Green Tara Nepal, a non-political, non-profit making non-governmental organization, established in 2007, has been working in the field of maternal and child health. It works in research, publications, advocacy, training and social mobilization in a holistic community development approach. Green Tara Nepal aims to bridge the gap between rural and urban, rich and poor and men and women in accessing services and improving healthy behaviors through community development and health promotion approach.

Details / requirements:

Green Tara Nepal is implementing Comprehensive health promotion program in Kathmandu and Nawalparasi districts since 2007 with support from Green Tara Trust UK, a Buddhist charity run and led by Buddhist women. From the beginning of 2015, GTN partnered with Karuna Deutschland e.V Germany, to operate two birthing centers in Nawalparasi district in close coordination with District Health Office, Nawalparasi. In joint partnership with Liverpool John Moores University UK and the Green Tara Trust UK, GTN is in the process of implementing post disaster comprehensive health promotion program in Kathmandu and Dhading Districts. Green Tara Nepal would like to invite dynamic and highly qualified Nepali candidates to apply for the following positions.

Training and Capacity Development Coordinator:

Job Location: 50% Kathmandu & 50% in other project districts.

Purpose of the Job:

The Training and Capacity Development Coordinator is responsible for leading the training, capacity building and organizational development effort of Green Tara Nepal at both individual and organizational level.  S/he will be required to work closely with national/international academic institutions that GTN partner with, supporting research staff and providing necessary logistics and programmatic support. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in subjects related to organizational development, program management, training needs assessment and development of training plans, with excellent written English. S/he must have knowledge, skills and some experience in training packages development and training facilitation, and running capacity development and fund raising efforts in the context of Nepal. A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required.
