Job Description
- Act as an architect/designer for multiple systems and applications, utilizing current technology and tools and ensuring alignment of technology to the business strategy.
- Identify opportunities to reuse existing architectural components and where appropriate, identify, design and create new architectural components, which can be leveraged by other systems and applications.
- Research and evaluate alternative solutions, prototype and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems design.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the teams for project level architecture and design work.
- Perform project reviews that includes development process, coding best practices and architectural soundness.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Job Specification
- More than 5+ years of experience in designing, development and delivery of multiple large and complex systems and products.
- Proven experience with SOA, design patterns and web services technologies.
- Proficiency in multiple languages/platforms like Java, Ruby, Python, Javascript, and/or SQL is highly desired.
- Proven experience as a technical leader. Demonstrated ability to lead the design and development of complex applications.
- Understanding of and experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including functional and technical specification, implementation, QA processes, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience with Test Driven Development, Unit testing and/or mocking frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a capability to think strategically, research new trends, and apply them to the Leapfrog environment.
