Nepal Public Health Foundation (NPHF) was established in April 2010 with a mission to have concerted public health action, research, and policy dialogue for health development, particularly of the socio-economically marginalized population. Details / requirements:

Nepal Public Health Foundation (NPHF) is urgently seeking a dynamic, energetic individuals for the project "Strengthening and Activating District Health System (SAHaS)" .SAHaS project will be implemented in nine earthquake affected district: Dhading, Nuwakot, Gorkha, Lalitpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Solukhumbu and Okhaldunga.

Position: Social Mobilizer (30)

Reports to: Project Officer

Duty Station: Dhading (3), Nuwakot (2), Gorkha (4), Lalitpur (1), Kavrepalanchowk (3), Ramechhap (5), Dolakha (5), Solukhumbu (5) and Okhaldunga (2).

Required Qualification: A.N.M, C.M.A, Staff Nurse, HA, Bachelor in Health education or Sociology with 1 year work experience in related field

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skill
  • Familiarity with the health system and VDC structure
  • Fluent spoken and written in Nepali 
  • Ability to coordinate the team
  • Familiarity with HFoMC and Mother's group

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strengthening and re-activation of mother's group and Health Facility Operation Management Committee (HFoMC)
  • Support to FCHV for planning and organizing mother's group meeting
  • Formation/Strengthening of peer group in every ward in each VDC
  • Participate in mother's group meeting and maintain meeting minute
  • Co-ordination with FCHVs, HP and VDC focal person
  • Conduct school health program 
  • Demonstrate healthy practices e.g. Handwashing and Brushing
  • Organize and participate in different national health events
  • Reporting in every 15 days to Project officer

Salary: Negotiable 

Duration: 7 Months
