CRS Nepal

CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting diseases, poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS started its operational presence in Nepal in response to the 2015 earthquake, providing immediate emergency response in multiple districts and earthquake recovery support. CRS Nepal has been coordinating the reconstruction through the leadership of the National Housing and Settlements Resiliency Platform (NHSRP), formally known as Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) since March 2017 to provide technical and information management support to relevant national, provincial and local governments. Similarly, CRS expanded its programming to other disasters responses (Lamjung, Jajarkot) in country as well as other sectors, namely Livelihoods, DRR and Climate Change. CRS Nepal is also implementing a USAID-financed livelihood technical assistance program, Farmer to Farmer (F2F), in Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

CRS is assisting Caritas Nepal (CN) to help the people of Gorkha rebuild after the devastating earthquakes of 2015 and has a long-term commitment to providing high quality relief and recovery assistance to help Nepalese recover and develop their livelihoods and to build back better. 

Applicants for the below positions must be Nepalese citizens. All the positions require excellent written and spoken English, as well as competency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).  

Social Mobilizer Team Leader (1 position-Based in Gorkha)

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in social science. At least 8 years of experience in development, focusing on participatory community planning and implementation and 5 years of experience in managing field teams and/or working with local implementing partners. Candidates with experience in training manual development, monitoring and evaluation, knowledge and extensive experience in community mobilization will be preferred.
