CRS Nepal

CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting diseases, poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS started its operational presence in Nepal in response to the 2015 earthquake, providing immediate emergency response in multiple districts and earthquake recovery support. CRS Nepal has been coordinating the reconstruction through the leadership of the National Housing and Settlements Resiliency Platform (NHSRP), formally known as Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) since March 2017 to provide technical and information management support to relevant national, provincial and local governments. Similarly, CRS expanded its programming to other disasters responses (Lamjung, Jajarkot) in country as well as other sectors, namely Livelihoods, DRR and Climate Change. CRS Nepal is also implementing a USAID-financed livelihood technical assistance program, Farmer to Farmer (F2F), in Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

The Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) is led by CRS Nepal, and other financial contributors and INGOs.

CRS Nepal invites applications from interested Nepalese citizens for the following position:

Shelter Technical Coordinator (1 Position-Based in Kathmandu): University degree from an accredited academic institution in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum of four years of practical experience in humanitarian / development sector in related field.Previous experience of coordination for humanitarian or recovery efforts in Nepal, particularly related to housing.  Experience in aninternational or governmental program would be desirable.Excellent written and oral English and local language
