Details / requirements:
Senior Web programmers are responsible for development of web site and web based applications using various technologies like PHP, MySQL, and AJAX etc.
Key responsibilities & duties:
1. Follows directions from Team Lead or Project Lead in developing websites, applications or modules
2. Experience in Ecommerce Websites, CMS, Shopping Cart, CMS & Application development.
3. Working experience in Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla etc.
4. Familiarity with RSS and XML feeds and Web Services (preferred).
5. Experience in JavaScript is a must.
6. Work primarily with PHP, procedural and object-oriented design, dynamic content retrieval, Unit testing techniques, debugging techniques, HTTP, MySQL and Apache.
7. Good knowledge of HTML/PHP editor like Dreamweaver is must.
8. Active participation in database structure development.
9. Effective Coordination with Team Members.
10. Communication with clients via email, phone or in person.
11. Developing PHP backend code for pre created site storyboards in HTML
12. Coordinating with the QA team to resolve bugs
13. Hosting and implementation of the system on a web server
Work experience & skills:
1. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
2. 2+ years experience in developing websites and PHP applications.
3. Good understanding of object oriented programming and programming principles.
4. Good understanding of the PHP programming language, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript.
5. Knowledge of Web protocols and programming requirements.
7. Strong understanding of relational databases.
