Job Description
This is a professional position requiring a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in the software industry. We are seeking skilled Python coders experienced in developing enterprise grade applications. The candidates will be part of our global team managing the research and development of several market leading products and services.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and evolve the existing enterprise application
- Participate in a team-oriented environment to develop new Python web applications
- Contribute to all layers of our technology stack including backend services, databases, APIs and web-based user interface
- Write well documented, maintainable code
- Maintain existing Python, and JavaScript codebases, including troubleshooting bugs and adding new features
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
- Ability to define and communicate a technical vision, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of object oriented programming concepts and application design
- Fluency in Python programming with good knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX
- Experience working with MVC web frameworks (Django preferred)
- Experience with version control systems (GIT/GITHUB preferred)
- Knowledge of relational database design and optimization (MySQL preferred)
- Comfortable using Linux / Unix command line and Apache Web Server
- Willingness to learn new skills, frameworks, and programming languages as necessary
- Strong attention to detail while implementing technical specifications
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work in flexible hours overlapping with US office hours if needed
- Experience of having worked at Team Lead position and prior involvement in development of Enterprise Application(s) will be a bonus.
