Our technical staff on the ground now includes physicians, nurses, surgeons, as well as specialists in water, sanitation and hygiene, mental health and psycho-social support and nutrition.

Scope of work

Under the direct supervision and guidance of the RH Manager, the Program Officer will provide support to the management of the Sexual Reproductive Health Programs. The Program Officer will be responsible for regular coordination with implementing partners, providing both administrative and program support.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee implementing partner activities to ensure that specialized support is available at the field/district/activity level to increase coverage and overall efficacy in relation to agreed SRH objectives
  • Collects and analyzes relevant data and assist the RH Manager to collate and prepare reports and other key documents
  • Conducts site visits to the RH program sites to monitor and receive updates from partner organizations
  • Monitors program progress on a regular basis, alerting the RH Manager of any challenges and preparing monthly reports
  • Submits monthly budget reports and reconcile budgeted to expended amounts
  • Supports coordination with external partners in Kathmandu, including participation in the RH Sub Cluster
  • Represent IMC at official forums as requested by the Program Manager
  • Coordinate with logistics in order to ensure that there is no break in reproductive health program supplies
  • Submit timely monthly report with reliable data and proper analysis and action points to deal with any program problems
  • Undertake other program, financial and administrative tasks on an ad-hoc basis

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Public Health with clinical background preferred
  • Previous program/project management in reproductive health programs
  • Previous training experience in clinical management of rape, short-term and long-term family planning methods & EmONC
  • Experience training national staff required
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience working with a program budget
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions with limited supervision
  • Ability to travel in country

Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali required

Nationality: Nepali Citizen
