KIRDARC Nepal in partnership of WaterAid Nepal is implementing "Sustainable WASH in Kalikot and Jumla district" with the aim to support the marginalized and people in vulnerable situations with access to improved water and sanitation and practice of hygiene behaviorsso that they can lead a healthy and dignified lives. The project aim will use Human Right Based Approach to improve the access for the sustainable development. Thus, KIRDARC invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time positions.

Project Officer- WASH (Based in Jumla)

Key Responsibilities:

This position will be overall responsible to ensure the quality of programme intervention in Drinking Water Supply Scheme in project area. In addition, he/she will support to the District/Project Coordinator to coordinate with funding partner (herein WaterAid), government stakeholders and ensures the quality of process based on the WASH national policy and framework along with active engagement in administration, management and monitoring-reporting of the project.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of work experience or Diploma in Civil Engineer minimum 5 years of work experience  in water, sanitation and hygiene programme
• Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Auto Cad (survey, design, and estimate) and other related experience
• Good communication and interpretation skills
• Sound knowledge on budgeting, planning and effective implementation of planned activities and report preparation
• Good skill/knowledge on coordination, facilitation, workshop and training conduction to stakeholders and Beneficiaries
• Cooperation and good team spirit
