Karnali Integrated Women Development Forum (KIWDF) is a non for profit organization registered in district administration office, Mugu by the women activist to gear up the progress of the women development which aims to enhance social transformation through enabling the capacity of the women for the right, respect and dignity of the women lives to create the lustful society. In partnership with Mission East, KIWDF Nepal is going to implement the “Gender Justice for Brighter Future” project in Rara, Pina and Ruga VDCs of Mugu district. In this regard, KIWDFis seeking an innovative, self-motivated and dynamic personnel for the following position.

Positions: Project Manager Gender Justice for brighter future

(Fixed term till December 2018)

Based in district headquarter but frequently travel to field bases.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall management of the project in Mugu district and ensure the smooth implementation of women empowerment activities including Literacy, Village Banking and Entrepreneurship.
  • S/He will be responsible to coordinate, collaborate with partner organization,district /VDC level government agencies, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project activities implemented in three VDCs of Mugu district
  • Guide and supervise the field staffs in preparing work plan and implementation
  • Develop quarterly and annual report.
  • Conduct regular field monitoring.
  • Design, modify and implement various trainings including women right based packages, gender, inclusion, etc.
  • Carry out survey on possible livelihood intervention feasible to the area and prepare document in coordination with partner and donor.
  • Support Community Mobilizers to ensure the quality of the trainings and inclusion/mobilization of vulnerable women in project area.
  • Coordinate and networking with stakeholders regarding on gender and disability inclusion for better access of the groups in development program.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor degree in Social Science or related field with relevant 3 years of experience on community development or Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Person with academic background in gender and development and experience in women empowerment and livelihood projects will be given preference.
  • Good facilitation, coordination, interpersonal, report writing, presentation and computer skills.
  • Excellent language and communication skills in both Nepali and English.
  • Explore and document resources (e.g. publication) related to gender and disability inclusion
