Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN) is a Nepalese non-governmental development organization working in the areas of integrated community development, agriculture, forestry, human rights, peace building and social justice, having strategic focus on protecting and promoting economic, social and cultural rights and right to development. We also work extensively on natural resource management, disaster management and climate change adaptation and mitigation activities. Its major interventions are directed towards poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged groups of people in rural areas.

Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN)

RRN is one of the largest, leading Nepali non-government organizations (NGO) working in the areas of development and policy advocacy. Its major areas of interventions/ engagements include, but not limited to, rural development, human rights and social justice- having strategic focus on protecting and promoting economic, social and cultural rights and right to development and peace building from below in Nepal. Its major interventions are directed towards promoting pro-poor and pro-people policies and practices through integrated rural development, policy advocacy, campaign, lobbying, networking and research functions.

RRN is looking for competent candidates to fill in the following positions for Community-based Livelihood and Recovery Support Project funded by Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and being implemented by RRN in Ramechhap districts of Nepal:

This project aims to bring marked improvements in the livelihoods of earthquake-affected households by developing crucial asset for community-based integrated livelihood and recovery initiatives.

It is planned to support on reconstruction of community infrastructures such as water supply schemes, irrigation canals, rural roads, etc. damaged by the earthquake and local economic recovery to improve income and livelihood opportunities. The project will also support the communities to generate social capital by promoting social cohesion through social mobilization and psycho-social counseling.

Project Manager (1): based in Kathmandu

DURATION: 12 months 

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Masters Degree in Agriculture/ Rural Development/ Sociology/Development Management and any other related field with at least 5 years of work experience in project management preferably with NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies and/or any other similar agencies. 

District Field Officer (1) : based in project district

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Masters Degree in Agriculture/ Rural Development/ Sociology/Development Management and any other related field with at least 3 years of work experience in district level project management preferably with NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies and/or any other similar agencies. 

M&E and Quality Assurance Officer (1): based in project district

DURATION: 12 months

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor Degree required/Masters Preferred in Rural Development, Sociology, Development Studies and/or any other relevant field with 3 years of work experience in monitoring and evaluation preferably with NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies and/or any other similar agencies.

Livelihoods and Training Officer (1): based in project district

DURATION: 12 months

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor Degree required/Masters Preferred in Rural Development, Sociology, Development Studies and/or any other relevant field with 3 years of work experience in livelihoods and entrepreneurship development field preferably with NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies and/or any other similar agencies.
