                  SonahaBikashSamaj(SBS) is an NGO dedicated to build well being of ultra poor people and to eliminate hunger and promote food security with equal and equitable access to human rights in Bardiya district since 2012. It also works with disadvantage group to improve their livelihood conditions and to ensure quality life of peopleas well as their children.

SBS has been implementing its community development project in Madhuwan and Rajapur Municipality and Geruwa Rural Municipality in Bardiya district with technical and financial support of Good Neighbors International Nepal (GNI). In order to implement its activities SBS seeks application from highly competent and self motivated Nepali citizen to fill the following positions.

POSITION: PROJECT COORDINATOR(PC) -1  

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall project and prepare Plan of Action (POA) based on Community Need Assessment.
  • Responsible and accountable for planned activities implementation in the given deadline.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project staff for effective implementation.
  • Design and develop training and workshop for capacity development of project staffs represent the organization in various training, workshop, seminars at local and national level.
  • Conduct meeting with Project Management Committee (PMC), staffs, school head teachers and local stakeholders for the smooth functioning of the project;
  • Coordinate with local level stakeholders like Municipality, Rural Municipality, Health posts, PHC, CBOs, community schools, cooperatives, mother’s groups and NGOs/INGOs
  • Develop manuals, guidelines and prepare project proposals based on the project requirements.
  • Report GNI District Office as per prescribed forms and format on regular basis (weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual) to concerned authorities on timely manner.
  • Review and provide feedback to maintain financial transaction, official assets including vehicles, documents, supplies, and staffs based on the policy of the donor organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Key Competencies:

  • Master degree in education, development studies, social science or any relevant subjects with major focus on school education with minimum 3 years of experience in similar position. Preference will be given to candidates having experience of handling project with multiple themes.
  • Proven ability to prepare and implement community development project
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent in interpersonal relation with effective communication and facilitation and coordination skills.
  • Ability to produce quality reports both in English and Nepali.
  • Excellent judgment and decision making skills and ability to work under continuous deadline pressure.
  • Excellent computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, email and internet.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal is a must.
  • Willingness to travel to remote working areas.
  • Preference will be given to person holding valid two wheelers license.

Note: Gross Annual Salary:NRs 735,500 per annum
