Nepal Public Health Foundation (NPHF) was established in April 2010 with a mission to have concerted public health action, research, and policy dialogue for health development, particularly of the socio-economically marginalized population. Details / requirements:

Nepal Public Health Foundation (NPHF) is seeking dynamic, energetic individuals for the SPARSH Project   related to maternal, neonatal, child health nutrition and hygiene in Makawanpur starting from February, 2016.

Position: Programme Associate

REPORTS TO: District Programme Coordinator, Admin and Finance Manager

DUTY STATION: Hetauda, Makawanpur

JOB SUMMARY

SPARSH Project will be implemented in the five VDCs of Makawanpur where the majority of people are marginalized Chepang and Tamang. The project objective is to improve the maternal, neonatal child health nutrition and hygiene practices by increasing access to related information and services. The project will be implemented for 24 months.

The Program Associate is responsible to maintain day to day financial, accounting and administrative activities as well as conduct field visit as necessary.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
  • Manage all account receivable and payable activities of the organization.
  • Administration and filing of taxes i.e. VAT, Income Tax, Corporate Tax etc.
  • Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records.
  • Ensure transcations are porperly reocrded and entered into the computerized accounting system.
  • Maintain financial files and records.
  • Manage the filing,store and security of documents
  • Manage the repair and maintenance of computer and office equipment.
  • Able to handle pressure with limited supervision
  • Other related activities as necessary. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

  • BBA/BBS

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 + years of relevant work experience in development project.
  • Experience in Accounting software would be an added advantage.
  • Extensive spreadsheet skills.
  • Smart and pleasing personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Integrity, dependability, loyalty and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Nepali typing is essential.

SALARY: Negotiable

DURATION: 2 + years

DEADLINE: February 11, 2016
