Nepali Adoptive Family Association (in partnership with Partnership for Sustainable Development Nepal) is seeking to hire two additional Program Field Nurses (PFN) for the NAFA Nourishes Program. This program will provide nutritional assessments, nutrition related healthcare, nutrition counseling, and vitamin supplements to orphanages in Nepal. We are seeking one PFN with over five years of experience in the healthcare industry and one PFN with one to five years of experience in healthcare. Experience with nutrition and/or pediatrics is highly desirable.

The program is currently managed by two PFN's, each with relevant experience and field work. The new hires will be working closely with our current staff to continue our program.

The NAFA Nourishes Program Field Nurse will travel to orphanages and present the program to prospective orphanages. The PFN will enroll interested orphanages into the program. After enrollment into the program, the PFN will be responsible for visiting the orphanage to deliver nutrition related healthcare and deliver vitamins on a regular basis.

Minimum requirements for this position are:

  • BS in Nursing
  • Current Nepal Nursing registration
  • One or more (five for the senior PFN role) years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • Willingness to travel around the Katmandu Valley daily. PFN may sometimes need to travel outside the Katmandu Valley. Candidates who have a scooter or motorcycle are preferred. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
  • Good computer skills. Candidates who have a laptop they are able to use for work are preferred. Candidates must be able to use e-mail, Microsoft Word or similar and simple spread sheets. Candidates will home office and should have reliable internet service at home.
  • Excellent ability to work independently and self-manage priorities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Nepali language.
  • Good in written and spoken English language.
