Procurement Manager at Biocomp Nepal

Biocomp Nepal is a fast growing progressive Nepali Recycling company for the production and sales of high quality organic compost fertilizer intended for agricultural use throughout Nepal. The production facility and office is located in Sainbu, Khokana. 

Biocomp Nepal is looking for a full time Procurement Manager. In this position, you will have full day-to-day (6 days a week) responsibility for the supply chain of Biocomp Nepal. You will be responsible of supplying the factory with sufficient organic material in order to make high quality compost fertilizer. The Procurement Officer will be located in our office in Kokhana, when not travelling, and reportsto the Managing Director.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Procurement manager of Biocomp Nepal,

• You will be overall responsible for implementation and execution of the organic material supply process. The organic material supply process consists of the daily provision and sorting of bio-degradable materialto the factory from various channels like wholesale fruit and vegetable markets, waste segregation stations of municipalities, bulk producers (e.g. hotels/schools/industry) and NGO’s.
• Biocomp Nepal has two trucks and some outsourced trucks with 3 helpers each collecting and bringing the organic material to the factory. In close collaboration with the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the daily planning and management of all activities and staff involved in organic material collection.
• In order to reach the targets set by management (x ton of organic material per month) you have the freedom and responsibility to shape procurement department as needed. You will be responsible to hire, train and supervise existing and additional staff members where needed. 
• You will be responsible for quality control within the waste collection process, i.e. supervise and implement systems to segregate waste into organic/inorganic at source and ensure only bio-degradable components will be supplied to the factory.
• You will be responsible for acquiring waste management contracts from various channels.
• You will maintain liaisons with organic material supply stakeholders, such as board of directors of the vegetable markets, directors of waste collection companies and secretaries/managers of related government agencies.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

In order to become Procurement Manager of Biocomp Nepal,

• You should be at least 30 years of age.
• You should have completed at least +2 college education but preferably a bachelor in a technical or business field in relation to supply chain management.
• You should have at least 3 years experience in a private (production) company in Nepal.
• You should be a strong people's person, an“efficiency and optimization thinker” with social, and communication and negotiation skills.
• You should have a hand on, go-get attitude, solving any challenge that comes your way. Taking your own initiative to form and execute a plan.
• You should have affinity with recycling, waste management and agriculture.
• Since you will need to travel extensively visiting (new) sources,you will need to have a driver’s license and your own motorized private transport.

REMUNERATION

We will provide the Procurement Managerof Biocomp Nepal,

• A gross salary of Nrs. 30,000 per month(consisting of Nrs20.000 basic salary and Nrs 10,000 performance based.)
• A Dashain allowance of one month gross salary.
• Secondary benefits as per company policy such as a company telephone and reimbursement of travel costs.
