HKI/Nepal is working to improve the nutritional status of women and young children through evidence based research and programs. Helen Keller International (HKI), CARE, FHI 360, Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG), Equal Access Nepal (EAN), Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), Vijaya Resource development Centre (VDRC) is implementing USAID funded Suaahara II Program (SP II) in 40 districts , applications are invited from interested, committed, dynamic team players and experienced Nepali nationals for the following position:

Procurement & Logistics Manager (PLM)

The position holder will be responsible for the overall Procurement and Logistics Operations and administration functions of Suaahara program, Nepal. The position holder will ensure that Suaahara fully complies with relevant laws, rules and regulations, whether internal or external regarding logistic and procurement function.

  • Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability
  • Ensure procurement policy procedures are followed and compliance requirement is fully met;
  • Evaluate procurement contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies;
  • Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements;
  • Develop, negotiate and administer procurement agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of organizational and donor requirements
  • Prepare agreements and contracts with international consultants, interns and volunteers
  • Provide procurement logistic and administrative support to the district, program and administration;
  • Administer the daily office operations and coordinate logistic requirements for Suaahara main office
  • Oversee operations and coordinate logistics requirements for the district office and programs.
  • Renew / update lease and other service procurement contract; e.g. Internet, Security, Vehicle workshops etc.
  • Inventory management for the Suaahara main office and the district office;
  • Liaison with Ministry, Department, SWC and other stakeholders for various official matters.
  • Facilitate Expatriate Visa & work permit
  • Must have a Master degree (preferably a MBA) or an associated area.
  • Work Experience: At least 7 years’ professional work experience in similar organizations or other organizations, including experience working for USAID funding
  • Skills: Critical thinking & problem solving, Planning and Organizing, Performance Focus, Managing Change, Teamwork, Communication Skills, Leadership Strong ability to organize and prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and targets, Strong interpersonal and negotiating ability, Ability to work as a team member, High integrity.
