Operation Manager

Global Agri-Tech Nepal (GATE Nepal) is a private company with its head office at Khajura in Banke district. Established in June 2010, it is dealing with the seed business across the country. The company is committed to increase agricultural productivity and production through improved access of farmers to high quality seeds.

GATE Nepal is seeking an experienced and result-oriented candidate to fill the position of Operation Manager with the responsibility for overseeing the management and technical functions of the company. Duty station of the Operation Manager will be at GATE Nepal head office, Khajura, Banke with frequent visits to seed production sites and seed markets.  

The candidates should meet the following requirements:

• B. Sc. Ag. with a minimum of 3 years work experience, or I. Sc. Ag. with a minimum of 5 years work experience preferably in the seed sector.  
• Good technical know-how on seed production technology, field inspection and seed quality control. 
• Good skills in operating computer software packages (Word, Excel, Power Point and net facilities).
• Good skills on report writing both in Nepali and English languages.
• Knowledge on business and marketing will be an advantage.
• Proven skills in dealing with seed producers, seed buyers and public/private organization personnel. 
• Self-motivated, energetic, creative and having analytical skills.
