The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is the global humanitarian organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Through an international network, ADRA delivers relief and development assistance to individuals in 130 countries—regardless of their ethnicity, political affiliation, or religious association. ADRA in Nepal works in livelihood, health, education and disaster risk management sectors. Currently, ADRA Nepal has been implementing its programs in 21 districts of the country.

ADRA works in more than 120 countries around the world and is working in Nepal since 1987 with its Health interventions, Economic Development and Livelihood, Education, and Disaster Risk Management activities. Currently ADRA Nepal is going to implement family planning activities in 4 districts of eastern and central development region with support from UNFPA. The goal of the project is to contribute to improving maternal health through increased uptake of FP services. To contribute to the project, ADRA Nepal invites applications for the following positions;

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (Kathmandu based): One

QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Master’s in Public Health (Nursing background is preferred),2-3 years of working experience program planning, monitoring and evaluation in RH and Family planning especially in I/NGOs or multi donor agencies. good interpersonal communications skills, English and Nepali (knowledge of local language will be an asset), ability to work as a team player, self-management skills, and willingness to travel in remote areas of district.

Project Officer: Two

QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelors in Public Health or Nursing or equivalent,2-3 years of working experience in managing donor funded FP program, a demonstrated ability in building and maintaining relationships with government staff, HFOMC staff and health volunteers at community level, good interpersonal communications skills, English and Nepali (knowledge of local language will be an asset), ability to work as a team player, self-management skills, and willingness to travel in remote areas of district.

DUTY STATION: In one of the four districts (Sarlahi, Rautahat, Udaypur, Sunsari)

Visiting Service Providers (Staff Nurse/Sr. ANM): Two

QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES:

  • PCL Nursing or ANM passed with Implant and IUCD training certified by NHTC,trained on Implant and IUCD insertion and removal, experience in providing FP services, a demonstrated ability in building and maintaining relationships with HFOMC staff and health volunteers at community level), ability to work as a team player, and willingness to travel at VDC level. 

Duty Station: Udaypur and Sunsari districts.
