Sankalpa is an alliance of issue-based women’s organizations striving to shape new Nepal. Its aim is to ensure that state mechanisms at all levels are open to meaningful participation of diverse women so that women have the opportunity to contribute to good governance, politics and the peace process. Sankalpa’s efforts are focused on consolidating the strength of individual women’s organizations under a strong women’s movement. Sankalpa seeks a dynamic candidate for the post of Monitoring & Documentation Officer with excellent track record in advocacy and movement building. Candidates experienced with women’s movement and its diverse issues, development and gender, women in peace and conflict; social diversity and inclusion are encouraged to apply.

Major Duties:

The Monitoring & Documentation (M&D) Officer works under the direct supervision of the Program Manager and is responsible to take leads in monitoring the activities and their outputs. The consistency with planned outcomes and assesses the extent of desired impact. The M&D officer works closely with communication and reporting officer and advocacy officer on collecting and recording the results, success stories and best practices for reporting and advocacy purpose.

Required qualifications & experiences:

  • University degree with 3 years of experience or Master Degree with 1 year experience in social development or relevant areas.
  • Experience of working in a position related to M&E or project management.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships in the multicultural team environment.
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Must have networking, interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Must have a clear understanding of women rights and diversity issues.
  • Experience of working as a Monitoring and documentation Officer in a women’s focused NGO is an advantage.
  • Excellent English/Nepali language skills (speaking, reading and writing). Competent Computer skills including word processing, email/internet.
