Monitoring and Evaluation Officer- One

COMPETENCIES: Bachelor degree in Social Science, Agriculture, development studies, public health or environment science; at least 3 years of professional experience in monitoring and Evaluation; knowledge on agriculture and livestock sector;Sound knowledge on data base management; technical skills in planning, evaluation and research; ability to engage in capacity building on these areas; willing to work both within a team and independently; good communication skills with fluency (written and spoken) in both Nepali and English.

LOCATION: Based in Kathmandu with frequent visit to project site as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan monitoring and evaluation activities within the framework of project 
  • Prepare appropriate reporting forms and formats for project monitoring
  • Plan and develop data and information gathering tools and techniques
  • Reflection of progresses with staffs inline of the project goal and objectives 
  • Support in preparation of annual work plan and detail implementation plan of the project.
  • Develops project’s monitoring tools and discusses/orients to project team and partners
  • Assures data are collected on time and feed in the data sheets by partners and project staffs
  • Analyses and interpreted the data and disseminate to partners and other stakeholders
  • Maintain a database of project in order to be able to track progress against activities and achievements on indicators
  • Provides feedbacks to project team on the basis of logical frameworks, if there are any deviations. 
  • Feeds the information for decision making processes. 
  • Assist the M&E coordinator/M&E team to conduct baseline, midterm and end line surveys of different projects of ADRA Nepal in consultation with Team Leaders
  • Develop periodic reports of the project and share with M&E coordinator/team leaders/project team. The periodic progress reports include quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports. 
  • Manages various learning sharing forum and introduce innovation for sharing
  • Reviews the application of best practices in various projects and proposals.
