Helen Keller International (HKI), an international NGO working in nutrition and food security, in partnership with the USAID-fundedSustainable Action for Resilience and Food Security (SABAL) Program, invites qualified Nepali national to apply for the position of Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator for Sindhuli district. 

HKI along with CARE, FHI 360, Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG), Equal Access Nepal (EAN), Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), Vijaya Resource Development Centre (VDRC) is implementing the USAID funded Suaahara II Program (SP II) in 40 districts. We are currently seeking a qualified Nepali candidate for the position of Homestead Food ProductionOfficers to be based in districts. Interested applicants should demonstrate capabilities to perform the duties and have the qualifications provided below: 

Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator - 1

Description

  • The M&E Coordinator will serve as the focal person for the electronic data programming, development and administration of all M&E system. 
  • Support the overall M&E activities for the continual improvement of monitoring project performance and research quality.
  • Develop data programs and design electronic data collection tools for the research, monitoring and evaluation of survey and studies.
  • Develop an electronic M&E database system for HKI, and conduct regular administration and updates in the system as required. 
  • Regularly verify and ensure the quality of data and information administered by the M&E database system, in coordination with project/program and partner NGO staff.
  • Support data analysis using statistical software packages and produce graphic content for HKI reports and presentation at various forums.

REQUIREMENT FOR THE ROLE

  • Master Degree in related field. 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in data programming and designing, and conducting training on the electronic data collection tools.
  • Strong IT skills to develop an in-house database and portal, and design tools to collate and interpret data
  • Experienced in using the statistical software packages such as SPSS, CSpro, STATA, GIS, Access and MS Excel 
  • Excellent written and spoken Nepali and English.

Position: Homestead Food Production Officers (few)

DESCRIPTION

  • Work closely with the district coordinator and thematic manager to prepare detailed district implementation plans for the HFP
  • Ensure that all HFP field activities are implemented in accordance with the plan of action and project timeframe
  • Organize and lead training/refresher sessions on HFP for partner NGOs and district agriculture officers
  • Ensure training and technical assistance for developing village model farmers (VMF) and local resource persons at the VDC level in the HFP areas of each district;

REQUIREMENT FOR THE ROLE

  • BSc in Agriculture, Livestock or Related Field;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in agriculture field with I/NGOs;
  • Strong knowledge of Nepal’s agriculture systems, policies and processes and a sound understanding of the linkages between agriculture and nutrition;
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills and mentoring of staff  partners;
  • Good networking skills with central and district stakeholders; 
  • Willing to travel remote areas as and when required.
