NRNA announces vacancy for the position of Foreign Employment and Migration Officer (Migration Relation Officer)
This is the full time work opportunity at the central office based in Kathmandu.
Position Title: Foreign Employment and Migration Officer
Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Master Degree in related subject or Social Works or Law or Management
- 2-3 years of experience in related field
- Having sound knowledge of labor law, foreign employment and migration policies of Nepal (destination countries would be an added advantage)
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Strong Written, Verbal and Presentation skills both in English and Nepali
- Sound knowledge of Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Power point and Internet and Social Medias
- Two/Four wheeler driving license holder
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the Labor and Migration desk of NRNA in supervision of Association’s head
- Coordinate with NCCs in the destination countries on migrant issues
- Conduct Survey and Research on labor and migration issues
- Communicate with different networks of NRNA, INGOs, NGO, Government office in and out of Nepal to gain better insight on migration issues
- Facilitate the partner organizations of the NRNA by providing information required
- Deal with the Migrants directly and collect real time data and issues through the Labor Desk at the Labor Village
- Develop database of the migrant workers and update it regularly
- Analyze the problems associated with grievances handling and other issues of migrants and put forward the suggestions to the association head.
- Prepare guidelines and informational materials to have better understanding of labor /Foreign employment and migrant issues, policies and procedures
- Counseling and Advocating the migrants and understand their need and problems
- Prepare Report, Press Releases and Articles highlighting the related issues
- Develop different printed and digital products to support the migrants in collaboration with different partner organizations
- Other tasks assigned by the association head.
