REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Qualification BA
• Must speak Tibetan
• Must speak English
• ECEC or Montessori training preferred

Salary to be negotiated depending on qualifications & experience

Tsoknyi Gechak School is a primary school for the young nuns at Tsoknyi Gechak Ling,a Tibetan Buddhist Nunnery, in Chobhar, Kathmandu.

We are a trilingual school: our students learn Tibetan, English & Nepali. We are committed to providing a high quality modern education to all our students alongside their traditional Buddhist training. We run teacher training so all staff have the opportunity to improve their teaching skills.

School runs from 9 to 3.  The LKG teacher will teach the core subjects of Tibetan, English, & Maths (elements or basic science & social studies are integrated into Tibetan & English class) as well as drawing and play/games time. (A specific Nepali language teacher teaches Nepali) The LKG Teacher will attend after school English classes or teacher training on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3pm to 4.30pm and staff planning days on alternate Sundays.
