POSITION DESCRIPTION

Build Change is currently seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Logistics Intern. This position requires an organized and competent professional to provide effective logistic support as per organizational policies, procedures and systems for smooth Office operations at Sindhupalchowk and Kavre. This position will work under the supervision of Finance and Administration Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide operations support for Build Change field office in Sindupalchowk and Kavre.
  • Responsible for timely procurement, implement Build Change's procurement system, obtaining requests for quotations, keeping track of items ordered, and inventory control system and update Assets Inventory,
  • Responsible for procurement, printing or manufacturing of Build Change technical resources for safe reconstruction,
  • Locate and negotiate leases for new offices and GH,
  • Maintain office grounds (generator, inverter, batteries, lights & electrical system, water-pump, water heating system, plumbing, drinking water supply, solid waste collection, doors & windows etc,
  • Hire and manage vehicles and drivers, coordination schedules, implement Build Change's vehicle logs and related procedures,
  • Arrange lodging and logistics, verify security, for domestic travel/field,
  • Undertake other assignments or tasks as requested by your supervisor or required for contributing to the success of the team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies or in the relevant job domain.
  • At least 1 years' relevant work experience is required
  • INGO/NGO work experience preferred
  • Competency in written and spoken English and Nepali
