CRS Nepal

CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting diseases, poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS started its operational presence in Nepal in response to the 2015 earthquake, providing immediate emergency response in multiple districts and earthquake recovery support. CRS Nepal has been coordinating the reconstruction through the leadership of the National Housing and Settlements Resiliency Platform (NHSRP), formally known as Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) since March 2017 to provide technical and information management support to relevant national, provincial and local governments. Similarly, CRS expanded its programming to other disasters responses (Lamjung, Jajarkot) in country as well as other sectors, namely Livelihoods, DRR and Climate Change. CRS Nepal is also implementing a USAID-financed livelihood technical assistance program, Farmer to Farmer (F2F), in Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

In Nepal CRS has a long-term commitment to provide high quality assistance to help vulnerable groups recover from the earthquakes of 2015, to develop their livelihoods and to rebuild safer homes.Applicants for the below positions must be Nepalese citizens with excellent written and spoken English, as well as competency with Microsoft Office.

Livelihood Coordinator (1 Position-Based in Okhaldhunga): Minimum five years of experience in agricultural development with NGOs or government. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or animal science. Master’s degree an advantage. Demonstrated experience in training, curriculum development, and planning and implementing agriculture and livestock programs, with a strong focus on capacity building as well as Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning. Excellent organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail and demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks across staff and departments.
