VACANCY ANNOUNCMENT

Rural Access Programme – Phase 3 (RAP3) is a 6-year DFID funded programme operating in 14 Districts of Nepal. It aims to improve people’s incomes and resilience through employment, sustainable access to markets and improved access to economic opportunities.

Applications are currently invited for the following position with qualifications as follows:

Position: IT Systems Administrator

Number required: 1 (one)

Location: RAP 3 Office, Kathmandu

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/BIT/BIM is required with at least two years of systems/network support experience.

Skills and Abilities:

The Information Technology Systems Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the RAP3 Nepal Information Technology department. This person will focus on the administration of RAP3Nepal network infrastructure to include computers, printers, photocopies, servers, network equipment, and software applications.

The person should be young graduates of creative, innovative potential of applying IT technologies in management operations including solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations; experience with Cisco routers & switches; Internet firewalls; wireless technology; IT support to computer users; basic windows scripting skills; experience setting up and managing database systems such as SQL Server. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate problem solving ability and a willingness to learn.
