IT Specialist
Details / requirements:
JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Specialist will lead all computer aspects of the H4l Logistics Contract including the web-based inventory management of Logistics Management Division and with NCASC under Department of Health Services. Coordinate with Ministry of Health and Population and Management Division/DoHS as per necessary. IT specialist will be based in Kathmandu and will require extensive field visits and peripheral health facilities particularly implementing the web-based Logistics Management information System and IMS software. The IT specialist will be under direct supervision of Chief of Party of the H4L Logistics Contract.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of the IT Specialist will include but not be limited to the following:
- Play critical role in implementing web-based LMIS in peripheral level HFs of 3 selected districts including coordination at all levels .
- Customize already developed web-based LMIS software to be implemented in peripheral level HF.
- Remotely trouble soot web-based LMIS related problems from districts (web-based LMIS is already been implemented up to district level in all 75 districts
- Coordinate with National Center for AIDS and STD Contract (NCASC) in integrating reporting system to national mainstream logistics management information system.
- Review, revise and update Web-based LMIS and Inventory Management System
- Support LMD in e-bidding process.
- Work with LMD to Supervise LMIS Unit at LMD
- The IT specialist will lead H4L Logistics Contract's information system including management of server, administration of network security to safeguard the data.
- Work closely with M&E Team to ensure sound monitoring of progress with LMIS and web-based application.
- Contribute to resolve any other IT related problems for H4L Logistics Contract.
- Develop pipeline software synchronizing in line with LMIS software
- Any other task assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Five years of experience in information technology with strong knowledge in the following applications: Classic ASP, ASP, NET,Visual Basic, VB.NET, MS Access, MS SQL, Networking, Hardware Troubleshooting
- Possess a Masters' degree in information technology or related field.
- Good oral/written English communication skills and fluent in Nepali
- Strong interpersonal communication skill.
