DanChurchAid (DCA) is a faith-based, non-missionary organization. We work for the poor, vulnerable and socially excluded communities and believe in life before death. Our everyday work with development and relief aid strives to help the oppressed, neglected and marginalized groups in our focus countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa to strengthen their possibilities of a life in dignity. In Nepal and Bangladesh, we are involved in several thematic areas with our work focusing on resilient livelihood, active citizenship and Humanitarian and DRR among others. The DCA Nepal invites applications from qualified and competent Nepalese women from marginalized community for the Internship Positon based in Kathmandu.

Innovation Champion ( 2) – Intern

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist to develop structured process to generate amazing ideas, tools, techniques and innovative culture and practices
• Assist in connecting process steps to create great ideas, to connect ideas on road maps and connect innovative culture within organization to make things happen
• Assist in developing innovative strategy for DCA Nepal and Bangladesh
• Assist in promoting IT tools (ICT4D) as a power tool for economic and social development
• Assist in demonstrating DCA organizational commitment to the strategic use of technology in development and humanitarian relief efforts through presentations on various media
• Assist to use innovations to increase the impact of DCA work in program development and program implementation
• Share innovative knowledge and experience, learning from colleagues and engage in a cross – sector discussion regarding implementation challenges and best practices
• Interact with other relevant institutes/organization for the effective use of technology and in development challenges
• Develop at least 3 creative new ideas and concept notes for the innovative use of technology and Innovation
• Network extensively on ICT4D (ICT for Development) to identify other ideas or technologies to propose to DCA Nepal and Bangladesh for our work

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s degree ( IT or Social Work or any other relevant subject)
• Fluency in English (written and spoken), excellent writing and communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure in a high paced environment;
• Highly creative and innovative mind;
• Ideas person – Confidence to experiment and try things out;
• Great learning attitude and dynamism;
• Natural networking and connecting skills and inclination
• Good organizational and prioritization skills; and Proficiency in social media, IT applications, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent in information technology
