DanChurchAid (DCA) is a faith-based, Danish non-missionary organization. We work for the poor, vulnerable and socially excluded communities and believe in life before death. In Nepal,we are involved in several thematic areas with our work focusing on resilient livelihood and sustainable food security, active citizenship, and humanitarian response and DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction).
DanChurchAid (DCA) is looking for enthusiastic women candidates from disadvantaged and marginalized communities keen to build foundation for challenging and rewarding professional career in an international development environment through DCA’s Internship Program.
The selected women candidate will be offered a non- renewable internship contract for the positon of Innovation and Database Associate (Intern) forsix months with possible extension. This is Kathmandu based positon and need to travel project areas as per requirement
Innovation and Database Associate- (Intern):1 The position will work under the supervision and guidance from PME Officer. She will support to develop structured process to generate ideas, tools, techniques and innovative culture and practices, assist in database management, assist in strengthening innovative relief efforts through presentations, share innovative knowledge and experience, collect key problems of the communities including potential solutions options, assist to design smart forms in Magpi for periodic survey. She will also follow up with partner organization to upload periodic data like gift catalog details, distribution tracker details, commercial vegetable farming details in magpi.
Required qualifications and competencies:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (preference will be given to areas of IT or Social work or any other relevant subject). Strong writing and documentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Nepali, excellent in Excel-database management, good coordination and networking skill. Should be proactive, creative and have great learning attitude and dynamism. Good organizational and prioritization proficiency skills, social media, and adequate knowledge on Microsoft office.
The candidate must have personal commitment to social equity and equal rights and opportunities and adhere to the staff policies of DCA on Sexual Harassment and Anti-Corruption.
