CA has a longstanding partnership with donors such as European Commission, ECHO, DFID, Irish Aid, USAID etc. for supporting humanitarian responses in South and South-East Asia region, for major emergencies. Christian Aid has contributed significantly to the regional resilience and humanitarian actions working closely with other institutions of excellence.

Compensation: NPR 1,073,588 to NPR 1,196,828 + competitive benefits package as per organization policy

Christian Aid is now looking to recruit an innovative and dynamic Finance Officer to support our earthquake response programme in Nepal.

About the role

This role will be responsible for ensuring that efficient maintenance of books of accounts. The incumbent will be expected to produce and review reports extracted from the financial and administration systems.  The post holder will be required to review the status of the budget and the adherence to financial policies and manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, auditing and financial compliance for the organization.

The post-holder will be stationed in Kathmandu, Nepal with frequent travel to programme areas. Though primarily assigned to the location designated, the role may be called up to cover and support other locations as the need arises[1]

About you

We are looking for candidates with a degree in financial accounting with substantial experience of managing the financial and administrative systems requirements for institutional donors.  You should have sound, substantial knowledge and skill for supporting the financial and administrative requirements for partnership, both with donors and NGOs, as well as experience in providing capacity-building support to partners for strengthening their financial systems.  You should be familiar and competent with computerized accounting software such as Tally 9.  You should have familiarity with tools for analysis of financial data that can be used to support the programme team and its partnerships.  Excellent IT skills and proficiency in writing and communicating in English is essential.
