One Heart Worldwide (OHW) is an International Non-Governmental Organization that has been working in the area of Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) since 2011. OHW works with local communities and local health service providers to develop a culturally appropriate Network of Safety around mothers and infants, by raising awareness, teaching good practices, and distributing essential equipment to ensure that mothers and infants survive delivery and the first months of life.

One Heart World-Wide (OHW) is an International Non-governmental Organization that has been working in the area of maternal and child health for the past ten years. OHW has been working in Dolpa and Baglung with district wide approach to improve maternal and neonatal health service since 2010. OHW has scaled up its works in Dhading and Sindhupalchok from 2015 and is in the process of expanding in Bhojpur soon.

One Heart World-Wide (OHW) invites applications from highly motivated Nepalese for the following position:

Position: Field Supervisor

Duty Station: Bhojpur

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build sound relationships with District (Public) Health Office, program focal person, health facility staff, community stakeholders and female community health volunteers in order to maintain program schedule and achieve program deliverables at the field level. 
  • Provide close and continuous support to implement "Network of Safety" including CB-IMNCH, birth preparedness package, Birthing Centers, HFOMC strengthen. 
  • List out the program logistics at health facilities and ensure the timely delivery at the designated facilities. 
  • List out the training logistics and ensure the timely delivery.
  • Conduct and supervise the training events at District level, health facilities and community including HFOMC meeting and orientation. 
  • SBA follow up and onsite coaching.
  • Provide technical support visits to birthing centers, health workers and FCHVs with special focus on capacity building on data reporting, recording, clinical skill. 
  • Coordinate logistics and daily activities in all program locations.
  • Participate, represent and co-ordinate at the facility level and community level. 
  • Frequent field visits to facilitate the implementation process, training, data collection, and program follow up.
  • Support to District Coordinator for her/his regular assignments and reports. 
  • Collect routine data from health facilities and communities. 
  • Provide support to conduct the performance review plan annually. 
  • Contribute to prepare regular progress reports, technical deliverables, presentations, and district work plans.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress report. 
  • Any other job assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and work experiences:

  • With PCL nursing or Health Assistance from a recognized academic institution with minimum three years of experience in the related field or Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM) with five years of experience in the related field.
  • Ability to function as a self-starter with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience using MS-Office packages and statistical packages, email and internet.
  • Good verbal and written communication including written and spoken English. 
  • Good clinical skills,community level training, inter-personal skills and experience of working in a team for program oversight.
