Expression of Interest

for Mid-Term Evaluation of 

Promoting Agriculture, Health and Alternative Livelihood (PAHAL) Program

Mercy Corps Nepal works to build the absorptive, adaptive and transformative potential of vulnerable individuals and communities across Nepal. The goal is attained through a systems based approach to market development, financial services, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and youth engagement. Mercy Corps began its operation in Nepal in 2005, with projects focusing on the sectors of economic and food security; climate, natural resource and disaster risk management; youth engagement; with the inclusion of women and disadvantaged groups as important cross-cutting themes throughout each intervention area.

Promoting Agriculture, Health and Alternative Livelihood (PAHAL) is a five-year USAID initiative designed to strengthen livelihoods, improve nutritional status and increase the capacity of vulnerable households to mitigate, adapt to and recover from shocks and stresses. Mercy Corps and its partners target individuals, households, communities, and systems to help build the resilience of up to 160,000 households, in 14 food-insecure districts in Nepal. The interventions focus in the Far and Mid-West districts of Achham, Baitadi, Bajhang, Bajura, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Dailekh, Doti, Jajarkot, Pyuthan, Rolpa, Rukum, Salyan, and Surkhet.

PAHAL invites expression of interest from firms/organizations for Mid-Term Evaluation of Promoting Agriculture, Health and Alternative Livelihood (PAHAL) Program. Interested and experienced firms/organizations may download an electronic statement of work and tender documents from nepal.mercycorps.org and submit the tender in a sealed envelope with signature, date and stamp with a subject: Procurement Department – “Sealed Tender for Mid-Term Evaluation” by August 14, 2017 not later than 4:00 p.m. in the Mercy Corps, Sanepa Chowk, Lalitpur, Nepal. 

Interested firms/organizations are also invited to a clarification meeting on the August 3, 2017 at 2.30 p.m. for an opportunity to clarify any queries on the Statement of Work and Tender Documents before submitting sealed tender.  Please register your submission of sealed tender at the front desk of Mercy Corps office.
