Location: Kathmandu 

 

Term: 3 Months

Job Purpose:

E-Relief Coordinator will be overall responsible for overall management of the Emergency Nutrition Response in Sindhuli”.  S/he coordinates, oversees and contributes to the implementation of the relief support in the district level with close coordination with District Senior Coordinator in SIndhuli and other Thematic Managers in Kathmandu. It also includes the responsibilities of ensuring procurement, logistic and supply chain management.

  • Coordinate and organize the training to the cluster facilitators, for mother groups, and FCHVS on IYCF E including food demonstrations, nutrition & lactation management.
  •  Coordinate with HF and the FCHVS to identify and gather target population for food demonstrations, breast feeding counselling to lactating mothers and relief distribution.
  • Supervise the work at VDC level in close coordination with district stakeholders.  Establish and maintain a coordination mechanism with district team to ensure proper utilization of resources.
  • Support cluster facilitators to ensure the relief support is managed according to the standards & protocols
  • Collect and compile the data for reporting purposes.

Qualification: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health/social science/health education from a recognized university 

 

Work Experience:A minimum of three years’ experience in health/ nutrition and food security/livelihood/DRR related programs in similar position/organization. Field level management & Emergency Response experience. Extensive field visit.
