District WASH Officer
Environment and Public Health Organization Established in 1990, ENPHO is a service-oriented, scientific, national non-governmental organization that envisages contributing to sustainable community development by combining research and action through integrated programs in the fields of environment and public health. ENPHO runs a government accredited laboratory and promotes eco-friendly technologies with the aim of establishing eco-societies. District WASH Officer
Division: Outreach
District: Palpa, Lumjung, Bardiya , Pyuthan and other SUAAHARA II districts
Project: SUAAHARA II
Number of Vacant Position: Four Plus (4+)
Minimum qualification: Bachelor in Science, Engineering, Management or Humanities
Expected background: Minimum 3 years of working experience on WASH sector; proven skills on coordination, reporting, communication, staff and community mobilization; and good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
General Job description:
• Take overall responsibility to implement the project at the district level as planned in Detail Implementation Plan (DIP).
• Prepare annual plan and budget on WASH for the responsible district
• Coordinate with other consortium partner’s staffs in the district like Health Officer, Nutrition Officer, GESI Officer etc. for synergetic and effective project implementation
• Coordinate and maintain good relationship with District WASH stakeholders and other relevant stakeholders including D/V/M-WASH-CCs
• Participate in D/V/M-WASH-CC meetings and provide strategic inputs and share progress status of SUAAHARA II Project
• Support to build capacity and improve WASH governance of local WASH stakeholders
• Train and provide technical backstopping to frontline workers like PNGO staffs, FCHVs, WASH Triggerers etc.
• Participate and facilitate trainings, meetings and workshops with WASH stakeholders and community groups
• Prepare and submit monthly progress reports to District Coordinator and Regional WASH Coordinator
• Ensure high quality of service delivery with the updated approaches/technologies in the implementation of integrated WASH activities.
• Attend coordination meetings with consortium partners, relevant stakeholders and local partners.
• Maintain good documentation and reporting on technical, administrative and financial aspects of planned and implemented WASH activities.
• Carry out administrative and other necessary work as requested by line manager relevant duties
